Employment Opportunities

Located in La Crescent, Minnesota, LMSS is a small charter school that provides free public education for grades Pre-K–12. LMSS is proud to be one of the only schools in the area providing an emphasis of study in S.T.E.M. (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education.

Working at LMSS will provide you with a great sense of pride in the work that you do, but also in the students, families, and the community in which we live and work. Employees here often refer to each other as “family.” We are a close knit group of people that strive to see each and every student thrive in their education. Education of the whole child is an important focus that remains a priority for all staff. Volunteer Opportunities

There are many ways in which parents can be involved at La Crescent Montessori & STEM School! All parents are automatically a member of Parents for Student Success, which helps in aligning willing parents to areas of need. Here are areas in which help is always welcome:

  • Help a struggling reader
  • Serve on a committee or taskforce (Public Relations, Facilities, Technology, Curriculum, Personnel, Finance, Policy or Playground)
  • Serve on the Board of Directors
  • Assist with field trips
  • Supervise lunch and recess
  • Help our Children’s House and Elementary I students on baking/cooking days
  • Volunteer at our annual fundraisers
