We are glad that you have decided to visit our website! At La Crescent Montessori & STEM School (LMA) we care about each and every one of our students, and think of our school as a community with each member responsible for the well-being of each other and the school.
At LMA, we offer free public school for K through 9th grade with the addition of 10th grade in the 2012-2013 school year. We are also proud to offer private pay Preschool for 3 & 4 year olds in our Children’s House environment.
The focus of La Crescent Montessori is based on the teachings of Dr. Maria Montessori. The Montessori philosophy is a hands-on approach to learning with specialized materials to aid students in understanding both simple and complex concepts.
For grades 7-10, LMA is proud to be the only school in the area to offer an emphasis in the S.T.E.M. study (science, technology, engineering, mathematics). Currently, the STEM focus in class is applying mathematical equations to engineering and earth science topics. Project Lead the Way- Gateway to Engineering is a rigorous curriculum that uses high quality engineering software.

LMA's 1st Annual Environmental Art Fair on May 19th, 2012. This fair will run from 9:00-2:00 and will be held at La Crescent Montessori & STEM School. There will be art to purchase, children's activities and live music. We can't wait to see you there!
